Remedy for Asthma??
Question: I have had asthma all my life. The last 20 years have been the worst. I am currently taking Singulair, Advair, and Albuterol. Is there any good Natural remedy out there. I don't smoke and neither does my husband. Thanks for all your help.
Answers: My father-in-law (73 y.o.) has had asthma for many years being on oxygen 24/7. He used to be a heavy smoker though. We have him take Immunocal (3 pouches a day, he started in January this year) and after 10 days he stopped using oxygen during the day time, he says he's been having the best days in years. Immunocal is a bioactive whey protein patented and clinically proven to raise Glutathione in the body. Glutathione is a molecule found and produced in every cell of the body. It is responsible for the proper functioning of the immune system, detoxification, recycling of antioxidants and several other things. Lungs are the largest consumer of Glutathione in the body after liver and the brain. Elevated glutathione levels help fight off diseases. Hope this information and the sources below help. I wish you to get better soon!
Stop breathing for about an hour.
Get this ingredients:
1 leave of Aloe Vera (peeled)
7 Limes
7 garlic cloves
32 oz of Pure Honey
Instruction:
In a blender, put the aloe vera gel ( not the skin, you will need to peel it), the lime juices of the 7 limes, and the 7 garlic cloves and blend it together.
Mix the mixture with the 32 oz of honey In a glass jar, seal it tight and marinade it in a cool and dark place for 3 days (you can try on one of you kitchen cabinets). Then after 3 days put it in the refrigerator and drink 2 oz of this mixture every morning 1 hour before you eat anything else.
Do this for 2 weeks or 1 month depending on the severity of the asthma.
Do not be afraid of all the mucus that it is going to come out of your nose and mouth, even thru the feces. My son and I have seen wonderful results with this simple home remedy, along with hundreds of people who have tried this. ( this is a native home remedy from the Caribbean, do not add or subtract anything to it, keep it as simple as that, and do not need to drink more than once a day as recommended in my country).
I hope this helps! :)
See a professional homeopath. Homeopathy can often provide dramatic relief for asthma sufferers. It doesn't always work, and even if you get a lot of improvement, I wouldn't throw the conventional medication away - but you should be able to reduce it significantly. Find a properly qualified homeopath through the Society of Homeopaths in the UK or the North American Society of Homeopaths in the US.
Personal experience: acupuncture and Chinese herbal formulas.
I had acupuncture done for particularly bad times, when the wheezing and chest tightness got bad. Though I didn't notice a huge change the first couple of weeks, it helped tremendously after a few weeks of treatment.
The Chinese herbs I took for roughly a year. I was able to tell a difference when I missed a few days of taking the herbs.
Now I occasionally get a treatment if my breathing gets restrictive (usually during major season changes). I haven't had a full blown asthma attack in 5 years.
I had my first attack 20yrs back in my first pregnancy the drs couldn't give me too many medicines anyways i pulled thro
then i started doing breathing exercises learned yoga and it did work now I'm on the inhaler and get very few attacks that too when we have these dust storms live in north India that's the time i panic but try to remain indoors
Then there r certain foods that i didn't eat for a while like banana rice bread yogurt and other very sour foods now i eat everything my (pranayam )breathing exercises have wonders for me
I suggest u too give it a try
Definitely seek medical help first but in addition to that you want to increase your water intake and here's why. Dr. Batmanjheldi in his book, Your not sick, your thirsty. Your Bodies many cries for Water suggests that when the body is dehydrated the brain always takes first priority over water consumption. There are several, but one of the less essential areas the brain will draw from is the lungs. The lungs have a small amount of water in them that helps us breathe. In order to conserve water the body will restrict breathing in order to help conserve water.
You should be drinking half your body weight in ounces of water. Ex: 150 pounds should drink 75 ounces.
Also, this is weird but, many people I know have used magnets on their chest during an attack which has helped.
Have you been tested for allergies? Maybe there is a hidden trigger for your asthma. If you can eliminate the trigger, you can get off the meds.
hey, theres some natural remedies in the free report over at http://www.secretnaturalremedies.com for asthma
There are a couple options for you; One of them is a Homeopathic Spray called Asthma Free, it's by New Sun. You take this orally=spray under tongue as needed, just like you would an inhaler. Also they make a great capsule to take daily called Asthma Support. Either or both of these could greatly help you, and maybe even save you a few pennies.
