What are the effects of tea overintake??
Question: It's common sense that drinking a lot of water is good, and that drinking tea is also good.
But is drinking a lot of tea good? What are its effects?
And by a lot of tea, I mean 5L+ of either green tea, or cold-infused yerba mate (not really a tea. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terer%C3%A9...
Thanks a lot!
Answers: There is an erroneous belief that drinking heaps of water is good for you. This is not necessarily so as it can strain the kidneys and the heart. Tea drinking can or may cause the following symptoms:
nervous sleeplessness, heart troubles, palpitation, and dyspepsia. It can also produce sick headaches.
You can become ill-humoured, sleepless and restless, and may get hallucinations of hearing. Also a cold damp feeling at back of head.
Green tea is slightly different, especially when it is the real thing. Tea contains a good supply of antioxidants and Green tea especially is high in these, which is good for the body.
However, drinking heaps of it or over-indulging in anything does put a strain on the body and traditional natural medicine and nutrition encourages balance in all things.
Tea is very caffeinated (even green tea), so drinking that much of it will make you jumpy. Caffeine is also a laxative, so chances are you'll be running for the bathroom if you drink 5L of tea. Other than that, tea is really good for you!
Drinkin 1,5- 3 lt water per day is good. But if its more than 7-8 liter u can die through hiponatremia.Cause u need natrium for your nerve activities. Tea doesnt contains caffein, it contains tein. Bad effects of tein are in the answer of 'medicine women'. Green tee is unbaked - fresh tee and havent got any side effects. But so much drinkin in some people occures heart tachicardia.
some people say anything in excess is bad. i say you might get stained teeth and many trips to the bathroom but even 5 liters is not going to do you any real harm.
