Which is better, tablet or capsule??
Answers: advantages and disadvantages of both, here http://www.lifesource4life.com/articles/...
For herbs, neither is effective as they are difficult to absorb in that form. Use a tincture or 2nd best is a tea. If the herb is leaves and flowers (soft part), pour boiling water or the herb and steep for 5 minutes or so.(infusion) If the hard parts (bark, stem, berries, roots) boil for 10 minutes in water (decoction)
for as tincture the dose for as 150 pound person is 2 dropperfuls 3-5 times a day. Use five times for severe problems. If over or under that weight, use Clark's rule

Capsules are absorbed better than tablets.
i think capsule is better than tablet it's because you can fill the capsule either in liquid or solid, unlike in tablet it is only appropriate if the ingredients are in solid form. Capsule is also better in case of absorption because it does not have to undergo disintegration unlike the tablet. But regarding the shelf life, tablet is better because it has less moisture content than the capsule, the lesser the moisture content the longer its shelf life and also tablets are much cheaper than capsules.
