How do you keep your adrenall glands healthy??

Answers: Info from a good website...
* Laugh as often as possible since this increases the parasympathetic supply to the adrenals.
* Take small breaks from stressful activity to lie down.
* Actively try to increase/promote relaxation, by doing activities such as yoga, meditation, and prayer.
* Always eat breakfast, and do it before 10 am.
* Eat 5-6 frequent small meals instead of 3 large meals.
* Set early bedtimes: 10 pm is ideal.
* Sleep in until 9 am whenever possible.4
* If you have “silver” dental fillings, get an evaluation from a mercury-free dentist who specializes in the safe removal of mercury amalgam fillings. Exposure to mercury (a neurotoxin) damages neurotransmitters along the HPA axis and can be a cause of Adrenal Fatigue Syndrome. Find a mercury-free dentist in your area now!
* If you need help covering the costs of getting your silver fillings removed safely, the Jigsaw Health Foundation may be able to assist you. Read more about the Jigsaw Health Foundation.

Also watch what you eat...
* Add ground flax meal to your diet since it contains healthy dietary fiber and omega-3 essential fatty acids.
* Add extra virgin organic coconut oil to your diet to benefit from the saturated fat that can help stabilize blood sugar levels.
* Add foods rich in omega-3 essential fatty acids to your diet in the form of fish oil, wild-caught salmon, minimal-mercury albacore tuna, and sprouted walnuts.
* Add mineralized salt to your diet, especially upon rising (½ to 1 teaspoon mixed in water) and at least a half-hour before your lowest energy point of the day.4 Choose Himalayan crystal salt.
* Eat lightly cooked animal and vegetable proteins (meat, fish, poultry, eggs, legumes). Read more about good protein and bad protein.
* Eat dairy products with live, active cultures (probiotics), such as organic, unpasteurized yogurt and kefir (unless you are allergic to dairy).
* Eat plenty of unrefined low-glycemic carbohydrates (brown rice, sprouted grains, winter squash).
* Limit intake of fruits that have a high glycemic index such as apricots, raisins, banana, papaya, and mango.6
* Eat plenty of vegetables and vegetable juices (kelp, sprouts, green and black olives, peppers, spinach, chard, celery, zucchini).
* Add nutrient-dense and unprocessed foods such as sprouted nuts and seeds to your diet.
* Drink purified water throughout the day.

Good luck to you!!!
well as with anything start by drinking lots and lots of distilled water (half your lbs body weight in ounces a day). and since adrenal glands have a lot to do with stress response you need to see what is stressing you in your life and make sure you can keep eveything in balance (you need stress though so don't try and make your life 100% stress free) get lots of exercise and a good one for adrenals is just a walk in the park as it is relaxing and exercise at the same time. As for supplements siberian ginseng is a really good tonic herb for the adrenals and if you can find a product called adrena+ (the link below) that is a good product that I've used before and found it mellowed me out nice and I didn't get sick from the stress as often.
Do a web search on adrenal gland fatigue and click on to site #1 Adrenal Fatigue. Read through this site and at the bottom it will list the benefical supplements for you adrenals.

I take 1,000mg vit. C, 1,000 mg vit. E, and 1000mg. vit. B-5. I have notice that since I began using these supplements, about 2 months ago, I am more energetic, have a clearer head, and have dropped about 7lbs. without any change in my diet.

You can also do a web search on Vitamin B-5 (panthothenic acid). This is a wonderful supplement for adrenal support.

You should read all that you can about adrenal fatigue and take the supplements that suit you best.

Hope this helps - good luck!
