Question: I was told I have dry eyes, I use the drops the Dr. told me to use but my eyes still burn all the time, sometime they get so bad I'm unable to sleep. Help !!!
Answers: HI!
SIMILASAN makes a product called DRY EYES which quickly stimulates the eye’s natural ability to moisturize, sooth, and clear dry, red eyes caused by age, overwork, environment, contact lens wear, etc. This sting-free formula has no known side effects, contraindications or drug interactions. There are no harsh chemicals in this product.
2)drink lots of water
3)take a good vitamin E supplement along with lutein, lycopene and astaxanthan
4)take a fish oil supplement too (it should be rich in omega 3 content)
all of the above will provide nourishment for your eyes and will help long term :) (will benefit your body too!)
All the best and hope u feel better soon!

I found this stuff called Soothe at Target. It is based on mineral oil and I think it works better or at least longer than some of the others on the market. It may not be as good as the stuff your eye doctor said to use, but you may want to give it a try. It is very important that you maintain eye moisture as if they are too dry this can abrade the corneas. give it a try.
soothe sounds good, but your doctor needs to be told what he gave you is not working and perhaps he needs to revisit how he needs to treat your symptoms.
