Love and friends!
st. John's Wort. It is a natural Prozac. You can use it in tea form or in capsules. If you have anxiety you can also use Valerian Root. It smells like stinky socks but it works. it is also good for insomnia. I usually open a capsule and take a pinch of it as the whole capsule is too strong for me.
I would say from experience exercise, exercise and more exercise... make your life right, something in it is making you depressed find out what it is and change it.. Meds are great but someday you have to come back to reality..
try to get out in the sunlight, and exercise also helps.
Exercise, sunlight, laughing, and time. Forget the St. John's wart junk... it's been studied over and over and over... and it does nothing. But the other behavioral things do.
I'm trying B-complex and Omega 3 supplements, but it hasn't been long enough to see a difference yet.
Jogging or other aerobic exercise works wonders with mild to moderate depression. It's just hard to get up the motivation to get going, but after about 20 minutes your mood starts to lift. Sunshine and cheerful, upbeat music have also helped a lot with depression and anxiety. Also serving others can really help. Volunteer somewhere, or even something small like bringing cookies to someone.
I've heard good things about St. John's Wort, but I haven't tried it.
If the depression is caused by a specific event such as a breakup or death, talking to someone (a friend or a counselor) and working towards closure can help.
If the depression is severe and isn't caused by a sad event... I don't know what to tell you. I had really severe, debilitating post partum depression and I tried smiling, listening to happy music, talking to a counselor, getting sunshine, exercise (I couldn't do a lot because I was recovering from a c-section), multi-vitamins, watching funny tv or movies, and I was serving my newborn... but all those things didn't do anything. I resorted to taking Zoloft and after 3 weeks of taking it I felt normal again. I was able to ween off after about 4 months. Since then it's been much, much more mild and the other natural remedies have been sufficient.
LAUGH

Continue to shop only in the frozen and shelved sections and you'll continue to be depressed. It's not just about will power, but about diet and the way your body heals and balances its own neurochemicals.
Marijuana could be a good one if your from the right country. If your not there is a Herb called Salvia It is legal in most states I know it's legal in Colorado because you can buy it at any Tobacco pipe shop here. It a simple herb from Mexico that lasts around 15 minutes I have never heard of anyone lasting more that 15. It is I guess you could say legal shrooms mixed with ecstasy. with out any withdraw symptoms or addictiveness. A tolerance can be built By the inhalant of excessive amounts. Some people Have bad trips so don't do it by your self.

900 milligrams of St. John's Wort each day will cause you to have less stress and anxiety, but you should really try taking 5-htp if you are having depression. Take 5-htp for about two or three weeks. It should pull you out of the depression.
