How to cure a sore throat??

Question: my throat hurts really bad, i have halls but they aren't working at all.
and the whole salt water thing makes me gag. (i've herd drinking juice and stuff helps.)
Answers: Gargle hydrogen peroxide, it works really well.
After that, drink green tea.
I have found those to be the two most important and effective thing for myself and people I have reccomended it to.
Beyond that;
Take vitamin C suppelement, cut out sugar and fast food for a week, try to get more sleep if you're sleep deprived.

That's actually more effective than any drugs/pills you can get :P
hot tea with honey and lemon and just a smidge of whiskey, sounds atrocious but it works wonders
also the salt water will work wonders, try eating smomething that coats ur tounge, like letting chocolate melt on it, to help desensitize ur tastebuds and give the salt water another chance, have a chacer of mouthwash to rinse out the nasty taste before you tounge knows what hit it!
also they make chloraseptic spray wich numbs the back of your throat, im not a fan but my roommate swears by the stuff!
hope you feel better!!!
Chloroseptic spray should work. It will numb it.
dont drink salt water lol
Its bad for u. it dissolves ur cell membrane.
Try garging the salt water or mouthwash in your mouth.
eat lemon with salt-stings, but works
If you want you can get sore throat medisine.
Try hot tea with honey and lemon. If it doesn't go away within 2-3 days see a doctor, might be strep throat and that's nothing to fool with!
Fenugreek, lemon and ginger tea. Fenugreek releases a slippery starch when steeped in hot water, and it coats the throat. Lemon and ginger is good for anything relating to a cold.
Well, Gargling salt water will heal it, but try some chloraseptic. It numbs whatever it touches. Stay away from acidy juices like orange juice. Also, get yourself some echinacia. It probably won't cure you this time, but keep it on hand at any sign of a cold or sore throat.
The first and best thing for any sore throat is moisture. Anything cold to drink usually feels best, but some folks do like warm tea with lemon or honey. A dry throat hurts, so the main idea is to get as much moisture into yourself and the air you breathe as you can. Drink until your molars float, add moisture to the environment with a pot of boiling water, a vaporizer or humidifier. Hard candy works just as well as cough drops, and usually taste better as well. The next step to to address the cause of the sore throat. If you have a runny nose it's causing you to swallow and try to clear your throat, which irritates it. If your nose is stuffy, you are mouth breathing and drying out the throat. So if you have either of those, then drying up the nose or clearing it will help- and there are a multitude of over the counter medications that will help you deal with those. The pharmacy should also have sprays and lozenges for temporarily numbing things, which are good for helping you eat- but not long lasting at all. If you don't have a problem with the nose and upper respiratory tract, then you may have strep throat. There isn't any cure for that, per se. You have to go to the doctor for that, to get antibiotics. Your body can fight off strep, but it takes up to a month to do it, and in the meantime you have the world's worst strep throat. Worse yet, you are a strep germ factory and share it with everyone around you. So if it persists in spite of the increased liquid intake and treating a stuffy/runny nose, your best bet for getting rid of it means a trip to see the doctor.
orange juice and vitamin C
all of the above are good - for comfort i wrap someone warm around my neck - something heated in the micro wave - helps to drain lymph nodes and is just comforting.

and go to sleep after taking a hot bath.
Try some cayenne pepper in warm water, to help relax the throat muscles.
For a sore throat and head cold I use a neti pot (nose pot). If you have never heard of it, there should be lots of info on the net about it. My naturpathic dr. started me on it. I have used it for every cold I have had in the last 3-4 years and have NOT HAD A SORE THROAT along with the cold. I swear that is the truth and I had terrible sore throats my whole life. It is a little bit hard to get the hang of the first time or two. I use a few drops of tea tree oil in the salt water if I have a cold or sinus infection. You should be able to find a pot at any health food store. You should also buy the salt there because they recommend sea salt. And do not buy the herbal solution they recommend to use in the salt water. It has zinc in it and can cause you to lose your sense of smell. I think it harmed me. Nothing wrong with the salt water tho. It is like your tears and is very soothing and natural.
