Best way to process Aloe at home??

Question: I have an aloe plant that needs pruning, WAYYY too many off shoots- the pot is past full.

I want to harvest this plant.
It seems difficult to remove the outer skin- but the skin is prickly.

I have a blender- but that is all when it come to processing equiptment.

What is the easiest way to process the aloe- and what product would you make for home use: First aid, Beauty, etc.
Answers: First let me say I've never done this. All I've ever done is use a leaf to treat a wound or a burn, or just to eat because it's good for my tummy.

I would chop it into pieces to fit, then blend until the juice is extracted. I'm going to assume that probably 1/2 the skin won't blend smoothly and you can then press the pulp through a tea strainer and discard the skin.

You can drink the juice for a laxative. Keep the leftover refrigerated as it will spoil at room temp.

Add 1 Tablespoon aloe gel to a clay mask. Add 1 teaspoon in your hand with your shampoo. (Don't put in the bottle because it will spoil.) Apply cool aloe gel to your eyebrows after plucking. Use on burns, including sunburn. Also helps with scrapes, cuts, irritated skin, heat rash.

The aloe we buy in the stores has other things added to preserve it.

Another thing I do with all my Aloe babies is to pot them up in styrofoam cups and give as gifts to friends.
The juice is good for many things
I would recommend using a paring knife and slicing the thorny sides off and cut to fit the blender
the juice is healing and the gel is good for cuts and burns etc;
most of it no doubt would be good for the skin to renew it
Whenever I get burned I cut off a stalk (or leaf...) and use the gel stuff
then if I don't use it all I put it in a plastic bag
dunno if this is good for the plant
