How long it takes to learn reiki? Is it wort it??
Answers: There is much variation in training methods and speeds as there is no regulation of Reiki. Students on the traditional path may be made to wait a year or more before being allowed to learn stage two, and thereafter many more years before being taught the Master level. Some traditionalists maintain that any method that teaches Reiki quickly cannot be teaching the real thing, because there is no substitute for experience and patient mastery of the art.
I have been practicing Reiki for 5 years and have progressed to Reiki Master Teacher level. I learned from my parents who are both Reiki Masters as well.
Your first question: This will vary with the Master you are working with. My students learn at their own pace after learning Reiki I, they tell me when they would like to move on. We then discuss questions, amount of practice, etc. before they take the next step. I have found it to be vital that you work with a Reiki Master that you click with. Many health and wellness centers or Masters themselves offer a Reiki Share or Circle open to the public for free or a nominal fee so that you can experience a mini Reiki or full depending on where you go.
Actual class time to learn Reiki varies, my Reiki I class is around 6-7hours long, depending on class size so a full days work. There are many courses that offer Reiki I and II in a weekend. Although it can be done, I have had several students re-take Reiki II with me because they felt overloaded and unable to master both so quickly.
Ask around and you will find someone near you, speak to them and get a feel for them before you take the class. Go with your gut, if it doesn't feel right or fun, find someone else!
Is it worth it? Yes in my experience! and my families experience. As a parent, I often times felt powerless when my little ones were sick. I know that now I can give them Reiki without worrying about side-effects, interactions with medications etc. This is also why Reiki is being offered by so many hospitals. I hope you give it a try!
There are many resources on Reiki here are a few I trust:
I wish you the best of luck!
yes it is very worth it. I trained about 4 years ago. At the first level then several months later the second. I had third and MT together. It was very effective. I think it depends on the person. I prefer to teach the classes separated. I believe students process the information alot easier.
Enjoy and good luck!
totally worth it...an amazing therapy
Depends what you mean by learn . You can be attuned to the extent where you can use it on yourself and others in one day, and this may be all you ever feel like you need. Level 2 is another day course, once you've got to grips with the first. Level 3 takes much longer according to my master - I haven't got there yet.
It is definitely worth it if you've been for treatments and feel like it benefits you. Much cheaper in the long run, and really makes you feel more peaceful and in control.
you can do a level one course in 1 day
is it worth it? learn to heal yourself, be calmer etc etc what price would you pay for that?
