Do herbal cold preventatives really prevent colds??

Question: zicam, airborne
Answers: I think they might help... the main thing is to keep your defenses up, eat all your meals, keep yourself warm and sleep eight hours minimun.
YES YES AND YES. Airborne helps a LOT. Take it once a day and you will rarely if ever get sick.

Also, try acupuncture if you get sick a lot. It boosts your immune response. Also ginger tea is great.
nothing prevents colds, anything you take simply relives your simptoms, take what works best for you
Zinc works well for me
when you feel you are about to catch a cold try umca, it mostly works
As a mom of 3 kids with runny noses, I doubt it. We just stick to good old fashioned hand washing. And lots of lysol to spray doorknobs, computer keypads, phones, etc.
No
I haven't tried either of those. Whenever anyone around me is sick, I start taking echinacea. (A couple of capsules 2 or 3 times a day). I hardly ever get a cold or other virus anymore, and if I do, it's never severe.
yes
no. normally herbal remedies are useless and against viral infections, common cold included
I can't remember the last time I had a cold and it wasn't because of taking zicam or airborne. So, I don't know if they work.

I believe a strong immune system will help prevent most illnesses. Washing hands, helps, too.
