Do you belive reiki can heal deseas??

Answers: I am a Reiki Practitioner/Master/Teacher. I am also a complementary therapist. But I do not claim to be able to heal people, and nor should anybody else.

It is important to understand that neither Reiki nor any other complementary/alternative health therapies can replace orthodox medicine.

In all cases, if you or somebody you know is not feeling very well you must FIRST seek medical advice. That is SEE YOUR DOCTOR. Always!

******************************...

What is Reiki?

This is a guideline only...

Reiki means Universal Life Force and is available to all who seek and desire to learn this art of healing. All that is required is an open mind and a willingness to learn. And a commitment to help yourself for your own self-development.

1) Reiki is a gentle and safe ancient art of hands on healing.

2) Reiki is an extension of the basic human instinct to put one's hand on anything that is painful, whether it is a sore, an injury or illness.

3) Reiki works on an emotional, mental, physical and spiritual level.

4) No disrobing is necessary. A person can sit or lie down whilst receiving a Reiki treatment.

5) Reiki provides a deep relaxation that promotes a sense of peace and a feeling of general well-being.

6) Reiki is an excellent de-stressor because it is very relaxing and therapeutic.

7) Reiki releases stress and emotions, and in this sense, it can bring about an increase in awareness, creativity, and energy levels.

8) There are no negative side effects of Reiki. It is completely 100% safe.

9) Reiki works well in conjunction with other complementary therapies.

10) Reiki is not a religion. It has no connection whatsoever with any cult, religious dogma or belief system.

11) Reiki does not involve massage or hypnosis.

Always listen to your inner voice/intuition/instinct to be your guide. Always seek a professional fully qualified practitioner/therapist who has insurance.

Never hesitate to seek professional medical advice from your doctor. There is no substitute for Orthodox/Conventional Health. If you are ill, you are ill and in need of a doctor. If you need medication, you need medication.

I hope I have been of some help to you.

Blessings x
I'm a physician so I can tell you from a medical perspective that it doesn't work. However, the medical perspective is not the only approach to healthcare. My personal belief is that if it works then continue doing it. But if you receive no benefit from it, discontinue it.
the question is too simplistic.
it's like saying do you believe drugs can heal disease or do you believe nutrition can heal disease or do you believe attitude can heal disease.....

i belive that some disease can be healed some of the time.

it's probably a reiki practitioner who could be a healer but some practitioners might not be very good healers. hmmmmm.

i heard reiki doesn't pass double blind tests if that's what you mean.

but many effective forms of healing don't. like placebos, which work about 30% of the time.
I know that it can
I believe that generally the body heals itself, and Reiki works by assisting relaxation which aids the healing process. On the other hand, conventional medicine mostly treats symptoms and not the disease - makes you feel more comfortable by being symptom-free, but it is the body which activates its own healing.
Personal opinion - it may be helpful to one who holds a strong belief in the principles surrounding reiki, but has no medical basis whatsoever.
I have had some serious medical conditions, and some people studying reiki even brought their teacher to show me how it could help, when they couldn't make a difference alone.
I wanted to believe it would help me, but the honest truth is that it did absolutely nothing at all.
I am a massage therapist, licensed and am familiar with methodologies and schools of thought from around the world. I don't use reiki because I am not one who has been taken with it enough to pretend that it has any scientific relevance. My clients come to me for an actual medical improvement, not a close your eyes and pretend magic show.
What about the power of thoughts??? I have met people who use herbs religiously and believe that herbs help them for a plethora of reasons, health maintenance, illness, ailments, etc.-- and for them herbs do work!! But, I have also met people who have tried herbs, hoping/wanting them to work, but perhaps, not really believing that they would, and the herbs didn't work for them at all. How is that possible???

The placebo tests are prime examples of this phenomenon.

I believe that our thoughts (and feelings) are what determine our experiences as good, bad, helpful, etc. We each have our own thoughts about many different things, our own perspectives, and our own beliefs. To say to anyone, This or that won't or doesn't work! , is to assume you know that person very intimately, perhaps more than he/she knows herself. That's impossible. Our experiences are our own-- no can discount what you believe to be true for yourself. The only thing we can do is know for ourselves what we believe for ourselves, not for anyone else. We can impart our experiences to others, especially when asked, but we should not make judgments for others as to whether something is good or bad, right or wrong, including whether something works or doesn't work.
Do I believe that Reiki can heal dis-ease? If the person with the dis-ease believes it will, my answer would be an emphatic YES! If the person with the dis-ease doubts that Reiki will do any good, the probable answer would be no , assuming that he/she does not change his/her beliefs about their dis-ease, their awesomely and wonderfully made body, Reiki, the power of God, etc.
Yes I believe it can.
However, like any 'good' Reiki Practitioner/Master will tell you. Always consult with your medical doctor.
Definitely. Reiki means universal energy, if you believe in a higher power, then imagine that power using you as a transmitter to cure the disease of a person. Does that sound unlikely? For the superior being nothing is impossible. This is his blessing unto us. Reiki works. Whether you believe in it or not.
