Dental schools??
Question: i need some fillings and 1 extraction.i dont have any dental insurance.ive heard u can have procedures done at dental schools for cheap.how wopuld i go about doing this?do i call and just say i want some work done on me ?loland do u know how much cheaper it is than a regular dentist?
Answers: Dental schools frequently see regular dental patients, but charge much less than private-practice dentists do. Do an online search for dental schools in your area, and call for an appointment.
Believe me, when I was in dental school, I couldn't find enough patients - they should be excited to have you. If you're in the area, I recommend the University of Washington School of Dentistry.
Bear in mind that though the work is usually excellent (everything done the by the dental students is supervised by licensed dentists), it will take longer. Dental students aren't going to be as fast as private-practice dentists.
