How can I make my teeth stop hurting from the braces??
Question: I got my bands done again and my teeth are killing me! I was wondering if anybody knew of some home remedies to get rid of the pain...
Answers: Take a Tylenol and go to sleep. I usually take a day off from work. You make want to take your bands off for a couple of days and then put them back on.
take sum tylenol
I always used to take a couple of tylenol. You could mix up some ground cloves and honey and rub it around in your mouth. The cloves have a numbing effect.

ADVIL and easy to swally foods such as pasta, soup, jello, pudding...
u really cant just eat very soft foods and after a week or so it will feel normal again. I dunno if thats good advice but i wish u luck
I have braces and bands too... I know how you feel. Pop two ibeprofin or advil, this will help with the pain. Also, even though you might want to just take your bands off, DONT. If you dont wear them as much as you should you wont get used to the pain and it will hurt more for even longer. All you can really do it take some pain killers and get used to it.
when I got braces, the orthodontist told me that whenever my teeth hurt, to drink a lot of cold water. The reason it helps is that it numbs the nerves in your teeth, so you become insensitive to pain.
I took Motrin every 4 hrs and just tried to sleep. Ate soft foods and tried to keep myself busy so I wouldn't think about it. I had mine for 3 1/2 years, but it was well worth it!! :)
Ask your dentist for sensydine or other tooth sensitize treatment toothpaste. They sell some over the counter also that will help ease the tightening process that causes discomfort.
I know how you feel. Just take a couple of Tylenol. Rinse your mouth out with warm salty water, (often). Try that tooth ache gel stuff over the counter might help. If it hurts too bad too long call your dentist he might can give you something. Hope you feel better. It will be worth it later on.
Well , im not the best at answering these, but i have braces and i push on the teeth that hurt or suck on something cold.
I don't really know but i have a friend who wears bracers. I'll ask her as soon as i can for you.
I've had my braces on for two and a half years now and I found that when the gang wind up the wires ice really helps, not on the wire ( that is way too cold! ) but above the teeth on the gums. It works best if you break up the ice into small pieces. I hope this helps, I can truly script that I know how your suffering; take care.
baby ora gel works.
This will sound weird but it works. Take a wet washcloth and put it in the freezer for 30 minutes. Then take it out and chew on it. That sounds stupid but it works really well.
