What are some home remedies for a toothache??

Question: I have a dentist appointment in the morning, but the pain is excruciating, tonight. Please help!
Answers: Put a couple of cloves in your mouth. When you go to sleep, place one under your tongue - it helped me when I had the same problem
take mefenamic acid for the pain. :)
if you have any Rye whiskey in the house rub some on your gums around the tooth it will numb the pain or also try a crushed up Tylenol or Advil and apply to the area that is affected. it should work as well.
Cloves,it's a spice used for cooking, you just suck on it and it numbs the pain.
Brush your teeth with toothpaste and brush, rinse with clean water
Ora-jel works wonders, no matter if you use infant or adult strength... Also, if you're desperate enough, take some dental floss and use it to move the tooth around (it won't be much, but it may relieve some pressure). I have impacted wisdom teeth that give the front teeth in my bottom row some trouble every so often, and sometimes just a good flossing will relieve a lot of the pain.
chew a peice of a gum tree
Dr. Technors mouth wash is the best for toothaches...but keep taking pain meds....take 800 mg of ibuprofen then in a few hours take acetomeniphen about two or three pills...don't eat anything, that makes it worse...try brushing it gently too! I feel for ya! I been there! Hope it helps!
try rubbing some oil of cloves round the general area or if no cloves avail try the old metho in the same fashion (dont drink)
Drop perfume on a cotton bud if y0u have hole in your tooth. Place the cotton bud in it.

Mix salt and vinegar and gurgle with the mixture.

If you believe Jesus Christ can heal, ask Him to touch it. I experienced this. It worked.
I know that this might sound silly, but try making a paste of cayenne pepper and putting it at the site. My mother had a tooth ache a few weeks ago and it worked wonders until she could get in the see a dentist. God Bless
Toothaches are painful but can be prevented
by take suitable precautions. Avoid eating
food which will result in the formation of acid
in the mouth, brush teeth regularly with a fluoride
