I had my wisdom teeth removed almost 5 months ago...??

Question: And lately the teeth at the back of my mouth have been hurting a lot. I'm also getting a lot of headaches. It's been quite a while, is this normal? Are your teeth supposed to still be shifting after 5 months? Thanks in advance.
Answers: No that is not normal and you shouldn't be having problems.. What this actually sounds like to me is grinding teeth.

Are your teeth sensitive at all? Are there sharp shooting pains? Many people grind or clench their teeth in the middle of the night, and do not even know this. Your best bet would be to see a Dentist as soon as you can, and ask him to look. See if there is any wear back there from grinding. If so he can make a mouth-guard for at night. The Wisdom teeth should have been healed by now, but without looking it is truly hard to tell.

When you wake up tomorrow, take the time to lay there for a second and see if it feels like your jaw is stiff or aching, right underneath the ears. If so, it is possible you grind your teeth at night. It is very common and very much treatable. Good luck.
sweetheart, CALL YOUR DENTIST!!! tell him/her about this!
I don't think this has anything to do with your wisdom teeth being removed. Growing in, possibly. Depending on how long it took you to get your wisdom teeth removed, and your specific circumstance, they may have pushed your other teeth forward enough (and it doesn't take much) to push your bite off enough that you're grinding your teeth now. Visit your normal dentist and tell him or her what's going on. They'll look at your teeth for signs of grinding. If they think you're grinding your teeth, they'll make you a night guard to help stop it.

If this is the case the only permanent solution is braces or continual use of your night guard.

I had this happen to me. I went through a growth spurt when I was 16 and my wisdom teeth grew in very quickly and were very impacted. I had naturally perfect teeth until my wisdom teeth started growing in, aside from the crowns on my two front teeth. Even 1 mm of shift in your teeth is enough to make you start grinding.
That is not normal.

You should have been done with this in a couple of days.

You should go back and have it checked out. you may and something trapped in the spots they took the teeth from or you may be one one of those people that have more than one set of wisdom teeth.

In either case you should have your mouth checked out . I had mine ripped out all at once and it was done and over with in a day or so and haven't had a problem since, but there were some thing you were supposed to avoid for a while and if one of those things got back there you might need to have it removed and cleaned up.

Go see you surgeon and have this cleared up to your comfort and satisfaction.

Good luck.
see your dentist. me, i love to see my dentist shes pretty.
