Pregnancy and dental work, can it be done? Root canal and fixing an abscess????

Answers: Yes. Just tell the dentist that you're pregnant (s/he'll probably ask anyway) and will therefore want to be extra careful when administering X-rays, and maybe with the type of anaesthetic given and if you need after-care with an antibiotic - which you may need if you have an abcess.
No because you need local anesthesia and it can harm the baby. I had a root canal done when my baby was six months old and even then the dentist was not sure because I was breast feeding her (I needed pain killers and anti-inflamatory pills)
Yes you can... shoudn'tbe a problem. they do double apron x- rays, special anesthesia and special medication. i work in a dental office for 4 years and we have at least 5 pregnant patients a day. unless you have a high risk pregnancy, otherwise don't worry...
