Tooth replacement??
Question: Can a broken or rotton tooth be replaced.
not a removable false tooth but a permantant one. how much would this cost?
Answers: A broken or rotten tooth can be fixed as loong as ther is enought tooth structure left. It can also cost anywhere from 250.00 up to 1800.00 depending on where you are at in the US and depending on the doctor. There are many options from a filling up to post and cores along with crowns. It is very important to have a check up at least once a year even if things do not hurt or not broken.
Sometimes depending upon the state of the root and the surrounding teeth.
A tooth of mine at the front suddenly just broke off one night. I was mortified. I went straight up the dentist the next morning, and very luckily they said that the root was ok. They root canalled it, then put a metal rod in then put an enamel tooth into the rod. It looks fantastic, however, that cost me £500.00 cash.
There are always implants that work with screws into the bone though not sure on the prerequisites though I do know that they are about £1000.00 each (ish).
Yes - you can get dental implants. It's a bit painful and expensive about £600 a tooth but you can get a tooth screwed back into your gums (provided that they are healthy. It takes about 4-6 months for the graft to work as well
It's not usually available on the NHS but a good private dentist should be able to help out.
Kings' College London is conducting stem cell research in this area but are still a long way off.
My dentist reckons about £1,000 ($1,800) a tooth at today's money.
