I just got all 4 wisdom teeth taken out how long will my mouth be swollen??
Question: im 18
Answers: the swelling normally increases after surgical wisdom teeth removal and reaches the maximum in 72 hours. After that it starts subsiding and most of the swelling resolves within 10 days depending on the amount of swelling which varies according to the difficulity of the extraction and genetic variability.
to minimize the swelling after extraction you should apply ice packs to the face every 15 minutes on and off for the 1st 24 hours. this minimizes the swelling, pain and bleeding. after 24 hours, the use of warm saline rinses will help in resolving the swelling..... good luck
A couple of days
close to a week
I had it done when I was 19,,,,,,I looked like a bruised chipmunk..........after a few days the swelling went down try cold compresses.......Take care!
2-3 weeks. (I was 10 days with just one tooth)
about a week, the last few days won't be as bad
A few days atleast. When I had mine taken out, I made some of the box chicken noodle soup and just drank the broth. It makes your mouth feel better and it curbs some of the hunger you have. Try to put some ice on one side then the other for 10-15 min each side. That should help take the swelling down, and Ibuprofen helps with that also.
Averages around a week. Stick to your pain medication and don't be shy on the cold packs.
with having 4 teeth out it could take up to 2 weeks keep mouth clean i rinsed with salt water
