Invisalign??
Question: I live in London and dental treatment is usually free for under 16. (not sure - it might be 18).
Anyway, my orthodontist said i needed braces and i saw on one of the posters outside the building that they do invisalign as well as metal braces.
I would prefer invisalign and am only 13 so i was wondering - do u think i can get them for free?
i am doing 2 ask my doc in the next visit.
if not what is the normal price? ( for a 13 yr old).
any comments/ info would be great.

Answers: It wont cost you anything if your under 16 so cost isnt an issue. If you need braces you may need fixed ones rather than invisalign. You can get clear ones though which is what i had. They are a nuisance at first but i soon got used to them and they didnt bother me during the two years i wore them. I would say if you need them then please get them now as i waited till i was 30 and spent my whole adolescent life being conscious of my teeth. It destroyed my confidence. Being brave and getting braces was the best thing i ever did. You can Mail me if you have any more questions, i would be happy to help x
I am in the United States and Invisalign is not covered under dental on my policy. I would have to get regular old ugly braces which I haven't done yet... saving up for the invisalign my advice is visit the website and ask them. You are very lucky if you get it for free.
I think invisalign is a great idea, but you have to be very dedicated to wearing them. It's very easy to take them off and leave them off when it's uncomfortable or convenient. The traditional kind you don't have that option...
