Please help!??
Question: Please advise me.
I just had a glass of coke and some minstrels.
I took ages to eat them, letting them all melt in my mouth. I noticed my teeth felt very sugary so I looked in the mirror and they looked fine but to my horror I discovered the back teeth (molar things) were COVERED in chocolate like I still had an unfinished sweet in my mouth!
I tried to wipe it off and it didn't work so I tried scratching it a bit with a toothbrush. None came off so I swished mouthwash and it was still all there.
I brushed my teeth with 2 toothbrushes (1 soft 1 hard) and it was still there. A tiny bit better but still very visible and ALL OVER my teeth.
I tried a tooth whitening solution because I thought it might have somehow been a stain (even though it wasn't there last night) That didn't work. It's mostly around the gumline and in the lil cracks in the middle of my tooth.
I know what (and how) I ate was bad, and brushing after having sugar is bad(?) but what should I do? Why is it so messy
Answers: Nice choice with the minstrels!! jees these americans need some real sweets!
Anyway, you say you have cracks in your teeth, they are called fissures and they hold EVERYTHING, a bit of a b**** to get stuff out of them. Also your gums dont sound too healthy if they are holding the chocolate too. Sounds like you eat too much chocolate and yes, it really doesnt take long until it starts to erode your teeth away.
Did you know that coke can erode a t-bone steak in days. And will clean a penny in less than one day.
That is how much acid is in it. Now think of what that is doing to your teeth.
Make sure you are brushing your teeth well, not hard but just enough pressure to sweep plaque off. if you brush too hard then you're likely to be seriously dmaging your gums.
You cant drank coke and minstrels in same times...
check a doctor
I really don't know! keep asking!
Maybe you have a cavity and you've just noticed it. Go to a dentist. If you get the cavity removed soon, before it reaches the nerves, it doesn't hurt very much.
what the hell are minstrels?
To the person who asked what Minstrels are...
I had to look it up too:
Kind of like M&M's fat British cousin that no one likes to talk about (he's not too interesting-looking and his clothes seem to fit too tight), but if you take the time to get to know the chubby chap, you'll find he's got PLENTY of personality. If you put a single M&M and a slice of devil's food cake into some kind of flavor-meshing machine, you'd get the Minstrels. Tally ho, baby! A big thumbs-up!
Sorry...don't have an answer for the question of what to do other than maybe try gargling and swishing water around your mouth.
its probably staing on the gum line and pit and fissure caries on the occlusal surfaces.get an oral prophylaxis andpit and fissure sealents put and stop worrying.
