Does a person getting their wisdom teeth removed have to have general anesthesia or will local or IVs work?????

Answers: I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed at my General dentist under local anesthesia and I wouldn't recemond getting General anesthesia to get teeth out because it's not that big of a procedure. And I personally wouldn't put myself at risk with the general. Just my opinion..We also remove teeth all the time in the office I work in with only local. And every has comeout pretty darn good...Good luck
You can get them extracted without anything but going through it with a regular dentist then a oral surgeon one year later for the other side I definitely recommend the oral surgeon
Depends on a lot of factors. In most cases do not need general. Consult your dentist.
I was generally sedated (IV). I had a very positive experience, and was told by MY DENTIST that an oral surgeon under sedation is the way to get them out. I was not out cold, but it was like right before you fall asleep in front of the TV where you know the show was about when you wake up, but weren't reacting to anything at the time.
