Feeling furry??
Question: HELP!!! No matter how many time i brush and brush.....green furry stuff keeps growing back on my tongue. I have read that another person has it but the solution is to go to a doctor. I am embarrsed about it and afraid to tell anyone. People have seen it and have been horrified.....HELP! It is SO embarrasing.
Answers: It sounds like a condition called black hairy tongue. This is what my oral pathology book says - Black hairy tongue is the name applied to a condition in which the filiform papillae are so great elongated that they somewhat resemble hairs. The hairs may become stained by food, tobacco, or chromogenic organisms. Hairy tongue may develop following the use of various chemotherapeutic agents (drugs). It also may occur without apparent cause, and in these cases tends to be persistent. Have your dentist check it out to get a diagnosis and trust me, we have seen about everything!

you really need to see a doctor, I've never heard of anything like this before.
It could be you are lacking a certain something from your diet - vitamins etc. I have acupuncture and she checks my tongue each visit and can tell stuff from it. Either go to your Dr or a check up at the dentist. Drink lots of water - perhaps you're dehydrated?
not teeth relayed babe. but diet related.
You need to speak to a dietitian and review how you eat and your lifestyle!! I know these two factors can affect your tongue!!
Good Luck!!
try going to your local chemist & buy some oral anti-fungal cream if it dont clear go see your doctor or dentist.
