Have anyone else had problems with Crest ProHealth toothpaste??

Question: I have been using Crest ProHealth Mint toothpaste for about 6 weeks now. This toothpaste is so strong it keeps my lips and corner of mouth cracking and bleeding . At first, because of the time of the year, I thought it might be cold sores. So I doctored and doctored. It didnt clear up. Then the light bulb went off and I discontinued the toothpaste. A few days later my mouth was cleared. Then dummy me, thinking this all was a coincidence, I started using the toothpaste again. My mouth started cracking and bleeding all-over again. Maybe my lips are extra sensitive, I dont know. All I know is now you have the word and I am curious if anyone else has had this problem. Crest is really pushing this stuff. Also the after taste is terrible.
Answers: Try using chapstick on your lips to prevent chapping and bleeding. But if you really believe it is the toothpaste don't use it anymore. There is probably an ingredient in the toothpaste that irritates your lips/mouth.
I have never tried crest prohealth toothpaste because it is acutally better to use a basic toothpaste that doesn't have tons of dangerous ingredients in them. Try using regular cavity protection toothpaste.
try peroxiclean
I love it! I don't think I have ever had a tooth paste leave my mouth feeling so clean! I will keep your post in mind if any of my family develops this problem.
It made my gums red and sore. I quit using it and everything is fine again.
I haven't heard of a toothpaste causing cracking of the lips and corners of the mouth. I have heard of it making the inner lining of the lips and cheeks slough off in a thin, gooey white film, however. Many times cracking and bleeding in the corners of the lips are related to chapping, a fungal infection, or a B vitamin deficiency. It is possible that at the same times you changed toothpastes you did something else different that caused the changes in your lips. I'm not a fan of that particular toothpaste, but just make sure it's not something else that could be a bit more serious.
I've been using it for about 2 weeks now & haven't had those symptoms, but I did notice that my teeth seem to be more sensitive lately. I haven't concluded that it's because of the toothpaste.
Also, I like the taste; I'm using the cinnamon.
I do wonder what's in it though, because it states that children under 12 shouldn't use it; where as other toothpastes say children under 2 shouldn't.
