and hered that some peaple sometimes don't wake up how does this happend and have you heard of this
Answers: For dental work they usually don't put you to sleep, instead we put you into a twilight sleep where you can still hear and respond but you are unaware of pain or how long it takes. This is different than general anesthetic and it is totally safe, don't worry. If you don't want to go that way there is always nitrous oxide or laughing gas , it relaxes you without making you drowsy and there are no after effects, it wears off after you are through and you can even drive yourself home. Good luck.
I think you are thinking of general anesthesia for surgery on the body. On rare occasion this can happen, but in this day and age, that kind of thing is so so rare.
the anesthesia they use for dental work doesn't put you quite as far under. But, if you really are opposed to being out to sleep, do it awake with novacaine, or carbocaine. I had my wisom teeth out with just a local anesthetic because I am paranoid about being out out.
Both my daughters were put out for wisdom tooth extraction and had no trouble until they took Loratabs for pain, then they threw up.
This rarely happens but if you are being put under anesthesia and never have been before you are not sure how you body will react to the anesthesia.A dentist office is not equipped to handle emergencies.I would not be put under general anesthesia in a dentist office. Only in a hospital. thats my opinion.
