What is the best denture adhesive to use for a all day hold??
Answers: My grandpa uses fixodent in powder form becuase the powder provides an all-over hold.
There are new poligrip pads. all you have to do is place the pad on the denture and is very strong for a looong time. Also gives support for the mandible.
A lot depends on personal preference. Depending on how new your dentures are may have influence on how well a given adhesive works. My personal favorite is the fixodent extra hold powder. It holds securely but does not leave a huge mess behind at the end of the day.
Make sure your dentures are fitting properly and do not use too much adhesive- more does not hold better.
