Should I get rid of any dental fillings containing mercury ??
Question: I have had 6 dental fillings for 20 years now. I wonder if some physical complaints I have - such as fatigue, irritability, lack of energy - could be caused by mild mercuty poisoning.
Answers: The amalgam/mercury theory is an on-going debate between many in the dental community. I have had silver fillings for about twenty years as well. they were placed when I was ten or eleven. They have lasted for a long time, as I have gotten older they have broken down, and I have had to have a few teeth crowned. But do I think they have been harmful? No I don't. Dentists have used amalgams for a long time now, and people have seen to be okay with them. There is mercury in fish and vaccines. The belief is that you do more harm by removing a silver filling that contains mercury then by leaving it alone, as long as it is not leaking. Some dentists say that drilling out the silver filling allows the mercury to drift into the air where you can inhale it into your lungs. The bottom line is who the heck knows what causes what anymore. We have pesticides, food additives, pollution in our water, soil contamination, genetic engineering of food, etc. etc. etc. so to say there is a definitive answer when it comes to amalgams and their safety would be ludicrous.
I don't know about that but mercury filling is the one
which stays for the longest.
But yes these days many other options are available like
filling is of the same colour as ur teeth etc.
So 1st consult some dentician & then go ahead.
nope the recnt studies shows that this give headache to people due to the fact it is passing electric wave
Eventually You will Have to Have the Teeth Filled Again. Leave it in till then.
It is not completely proved that Mercury added to amalgam is harmful.Some companies say they invented a mercury free filling but I did not see their product.It is just a site!
My dentist believe that Mercury for dental filling is not harmful,They say H2 is harmfull but added to O2 makes H2O which is water.
only freaks who shop at whole foods believe that amalgam is poisonous. why don't you switch to an electric car, eat no meat, use no plastic, and move to a small log cabin in a mountain range far away from the comforts and evils of society...
the fact is that amalgam is and always will be the most resilient material for dental fillings. when you remove amalgam fillings, the vapors created are a million times more harmful than leaving the fillings in place.
