Do braces hurt??
Answers: They Hurt some. You will have to get them adjusted occasionally.
i've never had baces; never needed them.
Probably depends on your age and pain tolerance. I had mine for 2 years and it was basically annoying. there is initial pain when installed and then after each adjustment. But this is worth it if you really want straighter teeth and a better smile. It gets easier as you go along.
yes.
First when you get your braces on, yeah...they are uncomfertable, but then you get used to them. But when you go in for checkups and they tighten them, they hurt again.....but after the 3rd or 4th appointment they never really bothered me, i would say its not the pain they bothered me, its food getting stuck in them, that was the worst >.<
YES THEY DO FOR AT LEAST ONE TO TWO DAYS.
Ive never had them but my sister has them now and she says that they hurt
at first just a little for like a day.just chew lots of gum and those little things they give you to chew on. but you'll be really glad when you get to get them off! :)
everything the other said about check ups and stuff, gettin them tightened is annoying and your mouth gets all swollen, and its like your teeth are getting pulled off. don't worry though.. it's not bad. like gettin a piercin, that's all
i used to have braces....now i have a sensational smile :D.
do they hurt? Only when they tighten them which should be about once a month. They only hurt for about a day, then you get used to it... I used to take pain killers right before the orthadontist visit...just so it could start working pretty fast after i leave.
TRUST ME,.....the pain is well worth the outcome.
I heard they are something to get used to..but all in all...no pain no gain...thats what they say...atleast they make them stylish now...
They hurt everytime you have to get them tightened, but it isnt horrible. They only hurt for 1 or 2 days each time and usually taking some aspirin helps.
Ok...I just got them today at 10:30 am and they felt really weird at first like my mouth was full. They felt really big. Also its weird closing your lips cause they are so dry when they take the lip separators out (So my advice would be to put on some chap stick or lip balm...) Its been about 7.5 hrs and they don't hurt yet. But they will tomorrow. Although I can feel them getting sore : (. I know that they will hurt very bad after adjusting appointments so I'm going to take Tylenol or Advil.
If you are getting braces good luck with them. And remember it's worth it cause you and me both are going to have a better smile in the end
If you are not getting braces...I hope I answered your question.
IF BY HURT YOU MEAN ARE THEY'RE UNCOMFORTABLE, THEN YES. IT'S JUST BECAUSE NOW THERE EXISTS SOMETHING IN YOUR MOUTH THAT IS UN-NATURAL. MOST PEOPLE BECOME USED TO FEELING OF HAVING BRACES RELATIVELY QUICKLY.
