What are some good things too eat when you have braces??

Answers: well, you could try each of the following:

pudding,unchunky yogurt, string cheese,
noodles and pasta, tofu, soft meatballs,Thinly sliced meats
(example: turkey or ham. make sure it's thin enough!!!!!!!)
tuna or really soft salmon, Soft-cooked rice, grits, Pancakes,
Soft-cooked carrots, squash,Mashed potatoes, beans,
bananas,applesauce,fruit juice,
ice cream, milkshakes, smoothies, and Jello.

your diet should consist of mainly these foods during the dreaded first week of braces and after you get them adjusted.
i recommend that you take Advil or Tylenol in the morning and before you go to sleep. trust me :-)

soft things that won't stick to your teeth and can be washed down easily. Like pudding, yogurt, whipped cream, icing(?).
Bananas probably. pretty much food that can be washed away easily for instant clean up.
You can generally eat anything, the simple rule is anything you cant break with your hands you shouldnt eat. So unless your superman, avoid apples, hard sweets, cheese for a while etc. And sticky stuff... so anything that sticks to your hands!:)
Soup and lots of water. anything solid will hurt your teeth.
cookies, suck on laffy taffy, poptarts, ceral, veggies, fruits, crackers, chips.
eat anything you feel like eating. Just avoid hard things like candy. The sticky stuff you need to suck on but thats hard to do. Its a good rule to use the if you can break it with your hand you can eat it. Apples are good as well just cut them up dont bite into a whole apple. It gets better as you go along and if you have any problems call your doc.
there are at least 2 books on the market about this one is called The I HAte to Chew Cookbook and the other is called the braces cookbook
