Tooth Abcess?What will happen today??

Question: I am going to the dentist today for a possible abcess. What will happen at the appointment-he wouldn't start a root canal- would he? thanks guys
Answers: No your dentist wouldn't start a root canal, but he will put you on antibiotics first to clear up the infection. He will also give you something for the pain and swelling. when the abscess has cleared from the treatment he may probably extract the tooth or clear the root canal.
get worse
Try the sites below to help deal with the dread of the dentist's chair. Also, try N2O...Nitrous oxide...if they offer it...it helps me to not fidget . See last entry link below:
The dentist must do incision and drainage to release all that congestion of microorganisms and later he will give you some antibiotics, this will help the antibiotic effect to work better and promptly. And the other good thing about this, its going to make you feel better. The next appointment he could do the root canal!!
