Dentist ROAR??
Question: i just got bak from the dentist from getting my cavities filled and from the numming stuff they gave me my chin and right cheek and bottom lip is all numb and i would lik to know how you get it back to normal sooner
Answers: You just have to wait...be patient and don't force it. It will be better in a few hours or by tomorrow,OK?
it will not wear off for a while. There is nothing you can do about it though, i am sorry to tell you that. If you think the numming stuff is bad for a minor cavity; well wait till you get a root canal done. It will be num for like 5 or 6 hours after.
You can't. I know it sucks I hate that feeling too. Your just going to have to tough it out.
Be patient.....You can't really speed the process up any, but it won't take long.
put ice on it, now its really numb!
i know it sucks my grandma has the same problem all the time and she talks funny a few hours after.....but fortunately my dentist found a new anestesy or whatever u spell it that doesn't do that....only the gums are numb after......its really expensive tho :|....you will be okay soon dont worry...
You can't there is nothing that will help to do this.
There is no way to speed it up. Just takes time. Don't try to eat too soon or you could bite your lip or tongue.
Time is the only thing . You have to wait.
it usually takes about a half a day
It takes from 4-6 hrs to get your feeling back especially for your lower teeth and lip. If the numbness continues after a day, call your dentist as this is not normal. Good luck. You should have got sensation already by now.
There really isn't an antidote, you just have to wait
Depending on what kind of anesthesia and how many cartridges he used, but it should be back to normal in about 4 hours. Actually you can get back to normal sooner if you drink cold liquids or have an ice cream, seriously. But if it has been at least a day, this is not normal. Just wondering, which teeth were they? If they were your bottom, and depending on the technique he used, he might have damaged your inferior dental nerve, which then will takes months to get back to normal, and if this is the case, you just have to stick it out. If it has been at least a day, see your dentist today and tell him it's an emergency.
How much sooner do you want? It only takes a few hours as is. Next time consider whether the pain of having a cavity filled (that just lasts for a few minutes of drilling) can be taken without having your mouth numbed. If you skip the numbing you are perfect the second that you step out of dentist's chair.
this may sound weird... but the more you talk the faster it goes away... cause your nerves begin to get use to the feeling of talking again and the numbness goes away. also move you lip around and put pressure on your cheek.
good luck
wait an be patient.
Why? Can't you wait to start talking soon enough?
Just enjoy the time you have without pain. Chances are when the Novocaine wears off (several hours) your going to wish it was numb.....
