I have an abscessed tooth??

Question: I know you prolly gonna get tired of these questions. . . .

I went to the ER last night for my abcessed tooth. . He said he didn't think it was abscessed, but today i know it is, cuz i have all the symptoms. Pus pocket, red, swollen gums, and my neck glands are swollen. . . . He did give me some antibiotics (penicillin), and pain medicine (generic for loritab). . .. I was wondering what the signs are to having the infection dissolving away the jaw bone. . . . . I can't open my mouth all the way. Is it due to the swelling, or is my jaw bone being dissolved? I do have a dentist appointment on April 25th to have the tooth removed.
Answers: pal my ex wife and daughter work for a dentist.go to another dentist as soon as possible,if that tooth is on the lower jaw and it weakens the jawbone ,your jaw could snap when they pull out the tooth.i know it's sat. ask your friends for a good maxilofacial dentist or call 1 800 dentist and get that taken care of quick, before you lose jawbone and will be in a world of cheap **** when your tooth is pulled
Jesus Friggin Christ ! I hope you can make it to the 25th. The pain must be horrible. Drink plenty of whiskey.
I don't know the whole situation around your condition, but it sounds like you've gone to a doctor, who had gave you an antiinflamation therapy. That means that there's something going on there.
Fever, pain into that region, swelling of the tissues around the tooth, not being able to open your mouth - that shows inflamation. If you are experiencing those, as I think you do, GO get an appointment fast! It's a serious condition - the inflamation (pus) is toxic to the tissues, and the longer you wait, the worse the situation is going to be getting. Just get an appointment this week. Do not wait for the following one.
Your bone is always involved with the matter as most of such situations begin from the apical part of the rooths of the teeth. Don't worry about breaking the jaw though - that takes a lot of time to happen from itself - and well, your dentist would be really careful about it. And of course, you shouldn't wait until April 25th for the extraction appointment, because till then you might not be able to open your mouth due to the whole process, and then your dentist would have to again to leave you on some medication and then perform the extraction. So - just go and see a dentist fast!
Cal the dentist, and have that appointment moved to Monday. It's an emergency, and make sure they know that!
