Why are wisdom teeth called such??
Answers: They are generally thought to be called wisdom teeth because they appear so late—much later than the other teeth, at an age where people are supposedly wiser than as a child, when the other teeth erupt.

Because they emerge around the time a person is older and smarter, having more Wisdom.
Because they are generally the last to emerge, therefore as an older person it is assumed you have gained greater wisdom by the time they come in.
