Who's afraid of the dentist...why??
Answers: dental phobias happen sometimes for no reason at all. but often it will be because someone was rough or didn't explain what was happening to them when they were young. thank goodness it doesn't happen so much anymore but there are still terrified ppl out there.

I hate dentists, I get nervous when one is working on my mouth. I don't really know why, but I get specially nervous when the little drill is in my mouth.
Who would be afraid of a dentist?
When I was a small child, the dentist determined I was allergic to Novocaine, so he drilled on my teeth without numbing my mouth. Wasn't exactly peachy! Although I fear the dentist, I'm ok with going since they have alternative methods of numbing my mouth and teeth before any procedure!

I wouldn't say I'm afraid of the dentist, but I do get really uncomfortable most of the time. I can stand to hear the drill....even if I can't really feel it. I guess it is just the idea. I just get tired of having to sit there with a dry mouth and trying to respond to questions that they insist on asking you when they have their hands in your mouth!

i'm not afraid, but usually people afraid of dentist because it will take our teeth out with lots of surgery knife..
My daughter is afraid of needles and the grinding sound. Plus haven her mouth kept open.

ME FO SHO!!!! This past thursday (june 8th) I just had some teeth cut out! They had to give me 2 shots of anestesia before I finally would go to sleep. I had got kicked out of 2 dentists office already but I was 5 years old at the time. This oral surgeon I just went to I would recomend to any one! He was very good, understanding caring and patient! Lynn J. Phillipe in Baton Rouge Louisiana. 7777 Hennessy Boulavard. I don't know why I'm so scared of dentists but this guy was awesome you know how some dentists or oral surgeons are AS*HOLES, this one wasn't!
I'm a dentist and I'm not afraid. My daughter is terrified of us when we get her in the chair. I'm always so pleased when I get a kid in that can sit calmly through the most painfull shots and wish my daughter was there to see how easy it can be to get your teeth filled when your'e cooperative.

When my son was small, about 8 years ago, my dentist gave me an injection to numb my mouth then started drilling and I could feel it.
No matter how much he injected it wouldnt go numb so he had to finish anyway as he had started.
Not the nicest experience I've had!
