Is this normal??

Question: My 7 year old has a tooth growing behind his baby tooth. I am a bit nervous because my 15 year old in in braces for the same problem that later developed into a crossbite. How can I prevent this problem from happening again? Is this normal? What is it called? I do have a dentist appointment for later this week.
Answers: It is perfectly normal. My bottom two teeth did that. After the adult tooth comes in the baby one should fall out
No this don't happen all the time, but going to the dentest can stop it if there with enough time to stop it from moving the adut teeth. I don't know what it's called, still you should be glad that yours wasn't like my oldest, he didn't want to let go of any of his baby teeth, so they had to be pulled.
My tooth grew in this way, and the dentist said to just start pushing it up with my tongue, and now it rests in line with the other teeth. It started growing in toward my tongue behind the baby tooth, the tooth was the second from center, bottom. I don't have the time to look up the actual name of the tooth but I think it's an incisor :-)
