Do you use electrical or regular toothbrush? If electrical, do you think it's better??
Answers: I've got a Sonicare, and I'll NEVER go back to manual. The Sonicare makes my teeth feel like they've had a cleaning from the dentist, and it takes much less work. It's actually fun , believe it or not!
My dentist said even the cheapest electric or battery powered brush is better than a manual toothbrush because they simply have more stokes per minute than a person could brush manully.
I think electrical brushes are better, because they tend to make sure you brush long enough and more thoroughly. Some electrical toothbrushes are just so-so. Personally, I think the Sonicare toothbrush is the best way to go. It is expensive, but it really works like it says. (it is not just brush movement, but works with sonic vibration - like how they clean jewelry). I am over 30 and have only had one cavity, and that was when I was 12. My dentist says I take beautiful care of my teeth :)
I use sonic care toothbrush (battery operated) and yes I think it is better than a regular one and I have proof ~ I was just at the dentist yesterday and for the first time ( this was the 1st time at the dentist since using that brush) I did not have any tartar build up on my teeth. YEAH !!!! She even commented that it looks like I have been doing a good job!!! So it will never be a regular toothbrush for me again, Hope this helps. Oh yeah no cavities either :)
I've been using a sonicare toothbrush for several years now, since they came out basically. Growing up I never had a single cavity. When I went to the dentist after six months of having switched to Sonicare I had (no exaggeration) 17 cavities. Now it could very well be because untill two years before that I had gone to the dentist every 6 months, and for those last two years I hadn't been even once and I never flossed. But, I switched to normal again and now back to Sonicare a year ago, I don't notice any difference. I think the important thing is just to go to the dentist for that check up every year, and make sure you floss every day.
Hi Alexander. To answer your questions, I use the Sonicare Elite. The vibration from the head of the toothbrush will help with tarter build-up. Make sure you brush for two minutes twice a day or after any meal or sweetened drink if possible. Floss. Floss. Floss. You can also try using a tartar control mouthwash and toothpaste such as Colgate tarter control.
I have used many kinds of different toothbrush's my husband is a dentist and we get so many free dental stuff. I found the best way to brush is with a regular toothbrush. Most of the electrical toothbrushes leave plaque in some spots. I never had a cavity until i started using the electrical toothbrush :(
My dentist just otld me recently that the power brushes will always do a better job on your teeth compared to brushing your teeth manually. I use an electric brush now and I believe it's an Oral B. It was about $20 and I will never go back to a regular toothbrush again. My teeth feel much cleaner after using hte electric toothbrush!
