My boss has terrible breath......??

Question: My boss's breath is revolting. I'm spending a fortune on mints to offer him. It's honestly terrible. I could never say to him, so there's not much i can do is there? If i left mouthwash etc on his desk, he'd know it was from me. Any ideas? His armpits aren't too fresh either. His feet also stink.
Answers: KT W,

A PERSON CAN'T PERCEIVE THEMSELVES THAT THEY HAVE BAD BREATH. YOU ARE SINCERE AND DON'T WANT TO LOSE YOUR JOB OVER THIS.
WRITE THEM AN ANONYMOUS LETTER EXPLAIN THAT SOMEONE HE WORKS CLOSELY WITH KNOWS HE HAS HALITOSIS.
IF THIS WON'T WORK TAKE A CO-WORKER WHO KNOWS THIS FACT TOO AND HAS THE BALLS TO HAVE A FRIENDLY TALK WITH YOU AND HE TO RESOLVE THIS PROBLEM.
IF HE'S GOT EVEN A BIT OF A BRAIN HE WON'T BE OFFENDED BUT GRATEFUL SOMEONE ELSE CARED.
Ask if he wants a piece of gum, always works for me at college when I got a lecturer with bad breath.
Post some floss, proper mouthwash from a pharmacy and a bottle of Mitchum roll on anti perspirant to his home address with a PRINTED note to take the hint. Failing that get someone in a different postal area to mail it to him at work.

Failing that look for a new job.
Try talking to his wife/partner (if he has one!) and ask for their help how to deal with this delicate matter!
i feel your pain sister - when i was at school i had biology teacher with bad dandruff anf i was soooo tempted leave bottle head n shoulders on his desk! Seriously snow showers on my work was not pleasant!

God people - soap is so common they sell it in shops!

My advice ...

Move jobs! drastic times call for drastic measures lol!
cant you say something to your supervisor if you have one? i no what it is like working with a smelly person, and even when something was said to him he refused to go home for a shower and freshen up. no long after he resigned! ha ha
Rattle him over the head with a toothbrush and some mouthwash - make your point clear! Either that, or leave some things on his desk with a note and someone else's name on it at work and let them take the blame!! Lol, must be someone who works in the same place you don't like!
give yourself bad breath so that he is aware of yours, and then he will freak out about his.
change your job!, because the smell will only get worse i know because i had a boss with a same problem eventually the room would fill with the smell and there was no escaping it.
If you can talk to him why don't you buy one of those mouth sprays and tell him quietly say if it was you you`d rather someone tell you
Maybe he really doesn't know he has bad breath and would be grateful to be told
I know its embarrassing but if it was me i would rather be told
the reason is he is not drinking enough water or juices and he is not getting rid of bad stuff i.e feaces and not urinating enough. he needs loads and loadsa water to get rid of toxins in body and stomach and when sum1 on loadsa medicines, u cant control the acid that builds up in stomach and makes the feet, mouth stink like hell and makes u sweat smelly sweat. this means he needs to stop eating curries if he does and drink loadsa fluids NOT TEA OR COFFEE co zthey dehydrate not hydrate. we want to hyrdate him and make him sweat his toxins out so yup, there we go. chewing gum and deodrant wont help. thats only temporary measures. what im saying is permenant measures and if he constipated, get him tomatoe soup or juice or prunes. he needs to get rid of all stuff liek that.
Have you got a nurse at work? Ask her to have words with the dirty git. Get other people at work to back you up. Also, tell whomever is superior to the sweaty sod. In this day and age, there's no excuse for lack of hygiene.
Then the only thing to do is to fix your nose. A very strong cold will do the job for you. And since you seem to enjoy so much his odors (smells), go and marry him.
Can you not speak to his superiors!! Mention to them his personal hygiene. To strenghten your case maybe you should get some other colleague to back up your claims!! Maybe you could write a letter or email anonomously so that these claims are not found out by your boss to be from you!!
Odor from sweat and breath usually comes from within the stomach and the intestines..sounds like he needs a colon cleanser. Does he eat alot of meat? Over weight at all? He is back up and needs a good wash out
hmmm... a tricky situation, he sounds gross to me. not exactly sure of the best way to get rid of this problem, apart from moving jobs which is rather drastic, but is a last option. a couple of things may help, - have body spray / perfume to either spray on yourself and *cough* accidently spray on him, as you spray it on yourself and in the room. try and get other collegues to take mints when you offer , or have a bag of mints on your table and he might take one, knowing everyone else is helping themselves. and it may sound farfetched but if there may be any chance of him leaving his shoes unattended, a shoe spray that you can buy from most shoe shops may solve his problem of his cheesy feet. hope this helps!
