I need braces for 3 years, which would be into college. Worth it??
Question: I have a bad overbite and crowded bottom teeth, which makes my chin appear small. After the overbite is corrected, my jaw will have moved forward and a moreprominent chin will result.
These are the good results I am looking for , however the orthodontist said will need them for three years. I'm 15 and a sophomore, which means I will get them off at the end of my freshman year in college!
It sucks to be getting braces when everyone else is getting them off and not only that, I will have them during the major high school events, like prom and graduation.
So is it truly worth it to get them? I want the positive results but the 3 years I'm not ok with.
Answers: Do it, it's worth it. There are more people than you would expect in college with braces and when you get there, no body cares what's on your teeth. They are a pain, but it's really no big deal, they normally don't show up much in pictures and you'll be use to them by your big events. Good luck!
Yes it is worth it and you are at the age when they normally put braces on. You do not need to worry about having braces when important things happen as many many teens go through these events with braces on. My son has braces, has a girlfriend and goes to any events he wants to. He eats almost anything he wants to (even if he shouldn;t) so don't let the braces thing bother you. If you don't get this fixed now you will have problems later on in life.
Yes. Improves your smile and your confidence.
remember it's only high school, it's better you do it now then to wait till you get to college or the real world, because then it could be a minor set back. i mean what's worse a young high school punk busting your balls or somebody who can actually make or break you judge you. get the high end braces if you can, the somewhat invisible ones and you don't have to show teeth to smile
It's better to get your braces and have them for these important events then to wait. Because in the end it will pay off, just think would you rather have braces for prom or crooked teeth for your weeding?
I got my braces on at fifteen and don't regret it at all. But this all depends on you. If you want straight nice looking teeth than go for it. If you don't mind not having perfect teeth then you may want to rally think about if the braces are worth it. It all depends on what you want. If the braces will make you happy you should really go for it. There is even a possibility you could get them off early. My sister got her braces off 6 months early. Good Luck.
