My overbite seems to be coming back after having my braces off from 12 years ago. Will I need braces again??
Answers: I went to see an orthodontist recently for the same problem after having had braces years ago. She told me I would need braces for a while to correct the problem. Apparently in some cases a retainer won't be enough to shift teeth back into place.
talk to your orthodontist about a retainer. if your teeth havent moved that much you can fix them without braces
you always have to wear a retainer, forever! your teeth etc have a memory and will eventually head back to the same position, maybe not as bad but they definately will not stay straight without a retainer, head back as soon as you can to get one made..

And after you have braces for a year or two,when they come off this time, ask for a permanent retainer -- a wire from eye tooth to eye tooth welded in composit on the inside. The teeth, then don't move, and you can wear a bit guard at night. You went to an idiot, hon....
