I have a back tooth that is full of nothing but filling.??

Question: I have been to the dentist (the same dentist I have been going to all my life) and he continues to say he is finding nothing wrong. I am constantly flossing and brushing it. Sometimes it makes my whole jaw hurt! Between the teeth is appears the gum is getting deeper and deeper what is the problem!?
Answers: since the tooth is heavily filled expect the following problems
during flossing does floss tears if so replace the filling if gum bleeds check for periodontal pocket
pain will change either increase or decrease
if it increases you may need root canal treatment and-or tooth crowning if decreases you need nothing
the deeper gum indicates periodontitis and needs proper treatment check with your dentist using peri apical radio graphs
You need to get a second opinion. Go to another dentist right away. Sounds like my old dentist. I obviously have a new one now and he's been a big help.
