Is mecury(silver) filling for teeth -bad or okay??

Thre are probably 200 million Americans walking around with mercury-silver amagam fillings and I haven't heard about any metal poisoning yet....they are OK...
There have been many studies on this subject. No properly done research has ever found anything wrong with having amalgam fillings. Personally I wouldn't get them because we have better looking alternatives and more modern materials that work just as good if not better than amalgams.

Twenty years ago, there was a panic in the dental industry to replace all mercury fillings with something less harmful. Now that this has happened, latest reports are that maybe that was an over dramatization of the dangers of mercury fillings. However, It didn't hurt the dental economy while it was happening.
