My husband doesn't care about his teeth. How can I get him to??
Question: My husband, who I have been married to for 2 years, doesn't seem to give a lick about his oral hygiene. Many times he won't brush before he comes to bed, and I know that sometimes he doesn't even brush in the morning. It is so sick. Before we even really started dating, I expressed my pet peeve about people who don't have nice teeth. He tells me he has never taken care of his teeth as well as he does now that I am in his life. What?? Before we got married I sent him to BriteSmile for $500 and his teeth looked incredible when they were done with him.
Now, it seems like his teeth are getting yellowed again and it's only been 2 years. He wants to have sex and his mouth is so nasty that I don't want to kiss him. Sometimes he wants to do oral on me, but when I know he hasn't brushed, I don't want to. It freaks me out. Also, we are in counseling & our therapist has gross teeth too. I don't know what help she'd be. I have made suggestions to him over and over. Any advice?
Answers: 1. Refuse to kiss him. Period.
2. Show him articles showing that oral hygiene is important to heart health. The risk of heart disease and heart attacks increases exponentially if one does not take care of one's teeth. Google it, and you will find plenty of articles!
You should tell him to invest a couple of bucks into a toothbrush and toothpaste. Or you could just punch his teeth out so he can get fake ones.
Or you could just not have sex with him until he brushes his disgusting teeth
Tell him to brush his teeth or you won't kiss him..
The next time he's eating his favorite food, tell him that if he keeps on having poor oral hygiene, he'll never be able to eat those foods again - all he'll be able to eat is applesauce and Ensure.
start talking about his breath and start teasing him by saying that somebody that he know very well wanted to know why your teeth so mess up?
Google some serious oral cavity diseases and show them the pictures of the aftermath =)

Sounds like you love his teeth more than you do him. If he is brushing at least once day he as taking care of his teeth. He should not have to brush his teeth just to kiss your or have sex with if he has already brushed the. Yes ideally he should brush twice a day but most people don't so you need to talk to the therapist about how you can learn to be more tolerant of this behavior. Also you have automatically assumed that your therapist doesn't care about his/her teeth when you don't know if maybe there is a medical cause for the way his teeth look. Learn to accept your husband for his good qualities and learn to live with some of his faults. Also since this is something that bothers you you need to bring up to the therapist or your counseling is doing you no good. Be honest with your counselor.
Ok first let me just get it out...ew!!! i'd be so turned off if i was you girl...you must really be in love! Now that i've got that out...i totally agree with the person above. Get some pictures online of people with teeth and gum disease and put it in from of his meal for when he sits down to eat. put them in the bathroom too!
