Braces and painkillers??
Question: so i just got bands put onto my braces, yay! it means i'm almost done, but the pain is just killing me. tomorrow i have a 12 hour flight to new zeland and i can never sleep on airplanes. before the only way i delt with pain was by going to sleep, so you can see why i'm stuck. what is the best painkiller for braces ???

TO HELP YOU SLEEP ON THIS FLIGHT TAKE VALERIAN (AVAILABLE AT PHARMACIES W/O PRESCRIPTION, IN THE VITAMIN SECTION ). IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE VALERIAN, TAKE SOME ADVIL (IBUPROFEN) TO EASE THE PAIN.

Kill two birds with one stone...have aspirin and cut your risk of DVT
Advil helps a lot, and Advil PM might help you sleep on the plane. Good Luck!!
tylenol extra strength worked wonders when i had mine on

if i were you i would use ib prophen, i have braces and all i do is take those and im great! i also think its makes you drowsy(im not completely sure though)
unless your dentist prescribes something- stick with some tynenol.
There was a study done with various anti-inflammatory medicines. It showed that taking 2 Aleves an hour or so before your tightening most significantly reduces inflammation and pain for the entire week after. I can attest to this, as I had braces for a year.
