What options do i have??
Question: i have a cross bite on one side. i need to straighten my teeth. but i'm 25 and getting married in the next couple of years so don't want braces that are totally obvious. what options are there apart from traditional metal braces?
Answers: there is a plastic progressive retainer system called invisalign... i know someone who used it
also some people have actually had braces put on the back sides of the teeth. it is more expensive and probably more uncomfortable but maybe worth it if you don't want them visible
go with the braces
you can get clear braces...you cant even tell you are wearing them
They have the new invisaline braces. I think thats what they are called.
Invisaligns are great! They do not need to be on your teeth at all times, although it is recommended. They are clear and people cannot even tell!
You have several options- one is called Invisalign. There are others too. The ones they have now are clear or are done on the inside rather than the outside of the teeth. Check at the orthodontists around- call and ask what they have to offer and the cost of each. Then you can make an informed decision.
My dad is 40 and got clear braces. They are a little more expensive but totally get the job done. Celebs use them sometimes. Talk to your dentist...
Or i guess you could always hit your jaw with a mallet until you get them in the shape you want...
Get all your teeth pulled or braces. You can't straighten them out any other way.
Invisalign is no more expensive than traditional braces IF you get them done at a general dentist. An orthodontist will charge more than traditional because the lab fees are so much more for them
Another competitor in the marketplace is OrthoClear, and does basically the same thing as Invisalign. Just find a dentist that has done many cases, and try not to be his or her test case.
