Sometimes some of my teeth hurt after flossing??
Question: Is that a sign of anything? The pain becomes acute when I bite down but then gradually goes away after awhile.
Answers: Getting a little over zealous with the flossing?
Try flossing once a day....gently......if it still hurts, yeah go see the dentist you may have something else going on.
You could try using Sensodyne but many times that just covers up the problem without fixing it.
I used to brush my teeth too much and wore the enamel down, they would also hurt to bite down on after brushing, but the pain would slowly fade away....silly huh?
*edit, yeah that would make sense as well. I guess just stick with it, be careful and use the salt water wash or Listerine to numb your mouth up a bit. Just remember its numb and don't scrub too hard!
Good luck.
You sound like you have an early case of gingivitis or gum disease. Keep with flossing and make sure you use a sawing motion to get out all of the plaque. Your teeth or gums should not hurt. I would go see your dentist. If it's an early case proper hygiene will fix it.
this an advice for perfect oral hygiene:
1.schedule ur visits to the dentist at least once every 6 months.
2. brush ur teeth regulary 3 times a day.
3.FOR FLOSSING, use an unwaxed floss with inserting it in between the contact area of two neighbouring teeth & then remove it by pulling it through its outer end. DO NOT PULL IT AGAIN THROUGH THE CONTACT AREA, OTHERWISE BY TIME U WILL GET SPACED TEETH :(
4.REGULARY,use chlorohexidine mouth wash but not for more than 2 weeks continuously.
