Has anybody lost weight by replacing two of their meals with Special K cereal??

Question: Im just wondering.
Answers: Yes, but like most fad diets, it doesn't stay off. I lost 10 pounds, then gained back 14.

The concept of the Special K diet is threefold:
1) First, that you actually eat breakfast
2) Second, that you replace two high calorie meals with lower calorie options
3) Third, that you buy a lot of Special K.

Any diet that incorporates the first 2 concepts will help you lose weight. Why buy a cereal that has less than 1 gram of fiber when you can buy a much more nutritious cereal for the same amount of calories? For the record, I lost 23 pounds last year - diet and exercise... diet and exercise (www.sparkpeople.com , username is uofigirl).

There is no magic bullet if you want long term weight loss.
I haven't tried this method, but I have tried just cutting back on my food intake in general and have lost weight.
Yes but you do have to exercise.
My daughter did. She's in the Army and had to lose 8 pounds to qualify for a physical test. She lost 12 pounds. You'll have to include exercise too of course.
Sure they have, but would you want to? There is a diet that allows you to eat anything you want as long as it is the only thing you eat at the meal. Even fried chicken. We are probably all overweight because we have so many choices at every meal - we keep eating because it is entertaining more than for hunger. So just how much fried chicken could you eat (not in addition to mashed potatoes or gravy etc. etc.) at one meal? Special K is not all that exciting and is not even close to a balanced diet.
