What is the difference, nutritionally and diet-wise, between low fat yougurt and low fat cottage cheese??
Question: I don't much like yogurt and I love cottage cheese...so I want to know what the impact is of substituting cottage cheese for the yoogurt prescribed by a diet I am considering.
Answers: Although it says 'low-fat' I believe the fat content of cheese is higher than the yogurt. Cottage cheese also has more protein in it (on average) and may actually be more filling. I personally don't see a problem with substituting those 2 items althought I am no dietition.
