Aprox. how much weight will i lose in 1 month w/ cutting out junk/fast food and sweets, drinking 8 glasses??

Question: of water each day, and getting 30 mins excersize every day?
Answers: It depends on your metabolism. While drinking 8 glasses of water a day is a good beginning. Most things I have seen and read recommend drinking at least half your body weight in ounces of water each day.

One site I give a link for says to lose weight drink 65% of your body weight in ounces.
You could potentially lose around 20 lbs, I would say. But 10 lbs of that is merely water weight. Regardless, if this was a new leaf you're turning over, the results in the first month will be dramatic. It's continuing afterwards that's the problem. Your results will be less visible, and slower...
Your question cannot be answered without lots more information, such as what is your current height, weight, and age, and how many calories are you consuming at meals. But I would like to make a general comment.

If you focus on how much weight you can lose in one month, you will walk into the trap of lose-gain-lose-gain. Over time that cycle leads to a tendency to gain weight, as your body is fooled into thinking that you are in danger of starving. So it stores up more of what you take in.

Consider setting a longer time horizon such as next year at this time. Regular exercise and drinking plenty of water is a great plan, as these will help you feel better within a week or two. As for eating, set yourself a realistic target. Instead of totally cutting out junk food and sweets, try cutting BACK on how much you eat, period. Take smaller portions at meals, allow yourself fewer and smaller snacks during the day so you don't feel deprived, and substitute more healthful foods for some of the junk foods. Consider yourself not on a diet but on a totally different plan for your body. A year from now you'll be amazed and pleased with yourself.

Best of success.
