Answers: No short cut. No quick way. All short cuts will lead you in to trouble. So adopt a scientific and proven method.
Do work out, eat wisely. I mean low fat high protein diet. Work out include resitance training, cardios and calisthenics. You will surely get the wonderful results with a good shape.
If you are looking for 6packs abs, I am sorry woman can not have that one for the genetic reasons. We can find the pictures of women in the cover pages of fitness magazines, those are the professionals who take testosterone supplements.
Reagarding the crunches. First of all one should know the correct postuer to do it. Sad to say that most of the people do the crunches which effects only the ererctor spinae (low back muslce) and not the targetted rectus abdominus (stomach muscle). So, you check it up your posture,. And you are not supposed to do ab crunches everyday as it effects adversely to your back too.
Good luck. Have a nice day.

I have heard turbo jam is good.
Low fat diet and lots of cardio exercise. This may not be a quick way, but it is an effective way.
diet, aerobic excercise, and sit-ups. But most of all motivation. Just do it. Like the old nike commercial said.
Yes that is true if I had a web cam I would send you a pic of my abs I do 100 crunches in 30 minutes and it hurts like hell but I push and keep going and now I have a beach bod baby
suck in your tummy and wrap some syran wrap around your belly - instant flat stomach
it will hurt at first, but if you keep doing them they will get easier. crunches will burn some fat and build up muscle, but in order to really make it flat you should run. that helps a lot, all over your body. like the crunches, you'll need to build up.
Use a 6 to 10 inch wide belt. Easy to get flat stomach. Or start tummy exercise.
Try Pilates. The moves are not as aggressive as the typical ab crunch but the results are awesome. After one 20 minute session of Pilates, you will feel a little sore especially if you do it correctly. It will hurt to laugh, cough, and sneeze! But that's really normal. The more sessions you complete, the less soreness you'll have. The hardest part is pushing through the discomfort so that you can get to the point where you see results. After 10 Pilates sessions, you'll feel a difference; after 20 sessions, you'll see a difference; and after 30 sessions, you'll have a new body.
hi i am currently at tafe studying nutrition and fitness. you are right about the kind of burning sensation with the crunches. the more you do the better it works, the hard thing about girls is that we have 2 layers of fat but guys only have 1 therefore it is alot easier for guys to get Ab's than girls. but its not impossible just eat the right foods (low in fat) and do about 100 crunches a day and you should see results, be aware though it will take a while so don't give up straight away if you don't see any improvements because you will in time
i hope this information was of good use to you
No pain no gain. Or should I say no loss. Crunches definitely hurt when you start to do them.
When you start to feel the burn (pain) don't quit. At least give yourself 5 - 10 more. Soon you'll reach higher numbers and the burn will come later and later. Before you know it you'll see your stomach going down.
Ab crunches done properly definitely work. Just keep at it. Good Luck!
Best way is to hit the cardio hard, that will burn the fat off of the midsection. Try an interval routine on the treadmill, 10-15min walking at a good incline, then back to flat, and jogging.
Do a gradual routine as well for your abs, try a few sets of 8-10, and then build up the reps. You can alternate between regular crunches, bench crunches, and lying leg licks. These basic exercises will begin to tone your midsection.
