Running milage??
Question: I run 4-5 miles every day. How can I tell if I'm an intermediate or advanced runner?
Answers: Depends on your time. Most advanced runners can do 5 miles in about 30-35 minutes (or less).

The question is, How do you feel after running these miles? You probally are an intermediate runner. But, all in all, I believe it is all in your heart.
What is your goal? I've been running for 6 years now and have well over 1000 miles under my belt. But I'm still an intermediate runner. If youre going to train for a marathon or even less, for the first time, I would use the beginner plan. Trust me, you will not be able to keep up with the higher mileage of the intermediate and advanced plans. So if I were you, I would think about what kind of goals I wanted to set and go from there. My goals were to be able to run 50k ultra marathons. I set my goals and achieved them. But you have to have a plan! If not, you will bonk!!!
I don't think the terms intermediate or advanced really mean anything. One person's advanced is another's intermediate. I began running 4 1/2 years ago, and just logged over 5000 miles this past January. I've looked at all kinds of running programs. For some, I'd be a beginner, and for others intermediate. I've run 5k's to 50k's, and it all depends on what you're going to train for. What I do, is look at the program offered, and ask myself the simple question, is this a program I think I could do, and is right for me? Don't get hung up on the words. Just get out there and enjoy your running!
