How can i loose weight in the specific places of in my body....for a teen??
Question: hello i am a teen trying to lose weight in specific places of my body...i want to lose weight between my thighs, stomach, and arms...... or maybe how can i tone them up and be stonge....like having not touching thighs, flat stomach, and stonger arms....i am 5'2 and weight between 115-125.......i want recon. please.......i want to do something over the summer.
Answers: sorry but you can't lose weight in one specific area without working the whole body. to lose fat, you need to do aerobic exercises: walking, jogging, biking, tennis, swimming, etc... something that will get your heart rate up... without getting all technical, for the body to burn fat you must work your body to a certain level and remain at that level for a length of time from 20 min to an hour. now to gain muscle you must work the muscles to the point that they are fatigued, give them some time to rebuild, (like a day or two) then work them again. it doesn't sound like you need to lose any weight... but losing fat and losing weight are two different things... if you work out regularly you may not lose much weight, but you'll see changes in the way your clothes fit and how much energy you have. join a gym or find a friend with similar goals and team up, it's way more fun to work out with a buddy!
good luck!

1) Go to the library
2) Check out a book on beginner's fitness
3) Learn how to do exercises that focus on a specific part of the body. These include bicep curls, situps, tricep pulls, leg raises etc.
You want to learn how to isolate various muscle groups.
4) Ask your parents for the money to buy free weights. Buy handheld dumbbells. You probably won't need more than 20 pounds as you will be interested in definition (toning) so your goal to be perform the same exercises repeatedly with lighter weights. Free wights are usually about 0.50 a pound, so you should be able to get two hand held dumbbells for under $20 or $30
5) If you can afford it join a gym or better yet a local community center that will be cheaper where you can get proper training.
6) Try to exercise 3 times a week for at least 1/2 hour.
7) Begin to develop the discipline to make healthy heating choices like staying away from fast food. Although as a teenager I don't doubt this is difficult with your friends wanting to eat at the mall food court. Just try to make healthy dietary choices when you are there.
Good luck
Sorry your SOL, but you can build muscle in specific areas which might make you look fitter in specific areas.
unfortunatly you cant do specific spotting. aerobic and cardio activity burns fat all over your body, but not in specific areas. do 45 minutes of cardio 4 times a week (jogging, swimming, biking, excersie tapes.) whvt you can aslo do though is make the areas look somewhat toned by doing pilates moves. i suggest buying a pilates tape along with your cardio. you probably dont have to do 45 minutes a day since youre not fat. you could take it down to 3 times a week but if you want to reduce your chance of heart diesease and get optium results excersise as much as possible.
its not just about excersise either. eat more healthy to see better results. vegetables, beans, fish, meatless meat (regular meat and animal products are begining to conain more and more unhealthy steroids and toxins that clog arteries) are best. fruit is ok but try to eat more vegies. frutis ocntain lots of carbs, though good carbs.. they still
vke your body work hard to burn them. bread is not as good. if you must eat bread eat it limited and try whole wheat. if you like pasta get whole wheat pasta too. and brown rice. cheating ehre and there is ok, because its really the only way you can stick to a diet. if you dont ever cheat youll eventually give into your craings eat more than you need and gain your fat back. good luck.
ps
